Breakfast and Brunch

We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so you might as well get a great start at one of our popular breakfast spots. The go-to for locals and visitors alike is the much-celebrated Stockholm Inn where the community's Swedish heritage is on display with their savory, buttery Swedish pancakes with imported lingonberries. The State of Illinois honored Stockholm Inn in 2014 with a Delicious Destination award as one of the premier restaurants in the entire state.

At Johnny Pamcakes, breakfast is served all day long so you can take your time trying to decide between their amazing pancakes, waffles or omelettes. Should you get the eggs Benedict? Probably...

For a cozy breakfast, head over to Lydia's Cafe in the Rural Oaks neighborhood where all the dishes are named after local landmarks. We recommend trying the Coronado if you are extra hungry.

And...if you're here on Sunday, don't miss our fabulous Sunday brunches! There are plenty of different locations to choose from whether you want a quick bite or a longer sit-down meal.
